On October 4, the Euro Parliament decided that by the end of 2024, all cell phones, tablets and cameras sold in the EU must have a USB Type-C charging port, so consumers will only need one type of charger for all their devices.     The decision seeks to reduce electronic waste and avoid unnecessary purchases of different chargers for each type of device. Ensuring consumer convenience is sought.     According to Euro Parliament directives, countries will have to adopt this directive by the end of 2024 and, approximately by the end of March 2026, this regulation will be extended to laptops.     Original source in Spanish.
