CCC is committed to addressing the ongoing needs and challenges of both medical communications professionals and leading publishers of medical journals. Whether facilitating important panel discussions, exploring the impact of the latest industry trends at customer-focused events like our recent Permissions Roundtable on 11 March, or gathering customer feedback via Customer Service and surveys, one message is consistently heard – there is a need for additional copyright education around the reuse of published content in MedComm projects.

In response, CCC is thrilled to unveil the new Copyright in Medical Communications Community, a specially curated online resource for medical communications professionals and leading publishers of medical journals.

A highlight of the Copyright in Medical Communications Community is Industry Insights, where experienced, in-the-field professionals will share their perspectives on common copyright compliance challenges in medical communications in response to a new question featured every week.

In addition to members of CCC’s education and solutions teams, the new Copyright in Medical Communications Community will feature insights from leading publishers and medical communications professionals. This community page also offers a collection of educational videos, content and solutions to promote a shared understanding of copyright in MedComms.

Previously this year, CCC launched  Copyright Basics for Medical Communications education webcast designed for medical communications professionals in an agency setting or life sciences organization who need to better understand their responsibility in complying with copyright when reusing published content in medical communications presentations, reference guides or other projects. The complimentary session provides an overview of U.S. copyright, international copyright treaties, the intersection of AI and copyright, and best practices for managing copyright compliance.

Have questions about copyright in medical communications? Visit our new Community to start exploring today, submit your copyright questions, and register for complimentary education webcasts.
