It seeks to finance projects that include the substitution of disposable plastics and ecological designs, with the purpose of minimizing the environmental impact throughout the life cycle of products and promoting open innovation. In addition, it offers financial support in areas such as the rental of specialized equipment, acquisition of productive assets, development of software licenses, supplies, patents and technical services related to the project.
It is aimed at alliances of companies and research groups, universities and technology centers, and focuses on eliminating single-use plastic packaging. The fund managed by the District Agency for Higher Education, Science and Technology is COP $2,400,000,000, with maximum funding of COP $350,000,000 per project, plus counterpart.
