Four Fish & Richardson Principals Named 2021 "Women Worth Watching in STEM" by Profiles in Diversity Journal

Fish & Richardson principals Nitika Gupta Fiorella, Heather L. Flanagan, Ph.D., Annie J. King, Ph.D., and Nicole Williams have been named recipients of the 2021 "Women Worth Watching in STEM" award by Profiles in Diversity Journal. Award recipients are "high performing, purpose-driven leaders who create value for other women and the companies, organizations, and agencies behind them."

Nitika Gupta Fiorella is a principal in Fish's Delaware office, where she focuses on complex patent litigation. Fiorella has worked on cases involving pharmaceuticals (including Hatch-Waxman litigation), oil and gas technology, software, medical devices, and polymer chemistry. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.S.C.E. in chemical engineering and B.A. in political science from the University of Delaware. Heather L. Flanagan, Ph.D. is a principal in Fish's Austin office, where she helps progressive innovators survey, secure, and sustain their intellectual property assets in competitive markets. Dr. Flanagan supports advances in cleantech, nanotech, alternative energy, biofuels, efficient lighting and power sources, sustainability, resource recovery, materials and coatings, green consumer products, and plant-based foods. She received her J.D. from the University of Texas Law School, her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Harvard University, her M.B.A. in decision and information sciences from the University of Florida, and her B.S. in chemistry from the University of Georgia. Annie J. King, Ph.D. is a principal in the Boston office of Fish & Richardson, where she focuses on patent prosecution. Dr. King's technical areas of expertise include organic, inorganic, and organometallic chemistry, pharmaceutical formulations, polymer, and industrial chemical processes. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, her Ph.D. in chemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her B.A from Barnard College.
