The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation announced the opening of the Call for Ecosystems in Bioeconomy, Natural Ecosystems, Sustainable Territories, which aims to seek a bank of proposals for research, technological development and Innovation (R+T+I), aimed at providing solutions to the main challenges arising from the Bioeconomy, based on the proper management of biodiversity and natural resources. Therefore, the Call contributes to the fulfillment of the National Development Plan in accordance with the productive economy through reindustrialization and the Bioeconomy.
On the other hand, the Ministry requires that the proposals must be submitted through a Strategic Alliance formed by the following actors: i) a Higher Education Institution; ii) a public, private or mixed Technological Development Center; and iii) a company located in Colombia that develops R+T+I projects. Likewise, the proposal must fall within one of the seven topics given by the Call and thus provide solutions from the Bioeconomy.
However, the Ministry may finance the proposals with a maximum budget of six thousand five hundred and eighty million COP, as long as the resources are distributed for the linking of a minimum of ten (10) young researchers, five (5) specialist doctors and the development of the technical structure component of the proposed program.
