CCC has elected international intellectual property and artificial intelligence (AI) law expert Dr. Daniel J. Gervais to its Board of Directors.

Gervais currently serves as the Milton R. Underwood Chair in Law at Vanderbilt University Law School, where he is also director of the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property Program and co-director of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program. 

“AI-related advancements will be strengthened by relying on responsibly sourced copyrighted works,” said Tracey Armstrong, President and CEO, CCC. “As an expert in copyright law and collective licensing, Dr. Gervais’ insights will be a significant addition to CCC’s Board as we create licensing solutions that meet the needs of technology companies, users of copyrighted works, creators and publishers with regard to AI.”
