In order to encourage the country’s inventors and support national technological and economic development, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will hold the XIII version of the National Colombian Inventor Award, in which inventions with a valid or pending patent under application between September 1, 2022 and August 31, 2023 may be submitted.
Natural and legal persons may participate in this contest, and the inventions submitted must not have been presented in previous contests. In the case of submitting inventions that do not have a patent in force or pending, they may be submitted as long as they are completely innovative and have not been publicly disclosed.
Finally, it should be noted that the registration form will be available until August 31, 2023 and can only be filled out through the link provided by SIC.
