Ahmed Davis Named a 2020 "Black Leader Worth Watching" by Profiles in Diversity Journal

Fish & Richardson Principal Ahmed J. Davis has been named one of Profiles in Diversity Journal's 2020 "Black Leaders Worth Watching." The award honors individuals who have blazed new trails, led the way, mentored others, advanced diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the community, and excelled in their chosen field. Davis was one of 53 individuals profiled in this inaugural award.

Davis has over 20 years of experience as an intellectual property trial lawyer handling complex patent litigation. He is the firm's go-to attorney for litigation matters in the District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Davis serves clients in highly-technical industries, including chemistry, biotechnology, medical devices, and mechanical and electrical engineering.

In addition to his practice, Davis serves on the firm's elected Management Committee and as the National Chair of Fish's Diversity Initiative, enabling him to have a significant impact on diversity and inclusion at the firm and across the legal profession. Earlier this year, Davis spearheaded the launch of the firm's multi-faceted Racial Justice Initiative. He has also been instrumental in the success of the firm's 1L Diversity Fellowship program, which was created in 2005 to create opportunities for diverse first-year law students through scholarship awards and summer associate positions.
