Design Law Redesign

The Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London is holding a seminar on the reforms which are currently taking place internationally and regionally in relation to design law. Nice Classification

The twelfth edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks (“Nice Classification”) will enter into force on 1 January 2024. The new version is already available on the WIPO website here.

Creators Learn Intellectual Property (CLIP)

Last week, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Music Rights Awareness Foundation announced the launch of a new online platform to help creators make better business choices. The platform aims to raise creators’ awareness of IP rights and related management practices, aiming to ensure they receive recognition and fair reward for their work. By early 2024, CLIP will be accessible in six languages.

IP and Business Growth survey

The UK Intellectual Property Office is conducting a review of the IP-backed finance ecosystem and IP insurance landscape. As part of this review, the IPO is asking businesses to share their views by taking part in a short survey, available here. The survey should take about 10-15 mins to complete and closes on 2 February 2024.

ELSA Scholarship 2024-2025

Applications for the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) Scholarship 2024-2025 are now open. This year, Católica Global School of Law, in collaboration with ELSA, will offer one full tuition waiver and two half waivers to ELSA members enrolling in one of the following LLM programmes:

  • LL.M. Law in a European and Global Context
  • LL.M. International Business Law
  • LL.M. Law in a Digital Economy
