Interestingly, the first patent for Sirturo was filed on 18/07/2003 ( PCT/EP2003/050322 ), meaning it is (more than) 20 years since their first filing. And earlier this year, the Indian patent office rejected their attempt to file a secondary patent on the drug. As mentioned above, there are 4 more applications.
